Laurence Kagan became involved with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation when his two kids attended Penn Wynne Elementary School where Alex Scott went to school. The charity appealed to Larry and his family because of how it involved kids helping other kids. Larry saw the lessons that his kids were learning about empathy, charity and selflessness and realized that the blueprint ALSF had created could be easily combined with the great people he had met though his son Remy’s hockey community. The Frozen Lemonade Cup was born and the hockey community has responded with force. From Washington through Philadelphia all the way up to Boston, youth hockey players are doing their part in the fight to eradicate childhood cancer. The plan is to keep expanding and to involve as many young hockey players as possible in learning great lessons for life while helping to fight childhood cancer.
Larry is a principal in the investment firm Kagan Cocozza Asset Management based outside Philadelphia in West Conshohocken, PA.
